Kelsey enjoying first real 4th of July

Every year on the 4th of July Kelsey has always sleep through all the fireworks because she was always a sleep before dark. So this year she was actually awake for all the fireworks. And really enjoyed the sparklers.

So it was all so new for her I was excited.

See the photos i have added.

High school graduation

I went to my two oldest kids high school graduation this pas weekend and at my son's school a girl in a wheelchair was dressed in cap and grown and someone wheeled her across the stage and I think i cried as much for her as i did my son. Knowing that some day this could be Kelsey. I tried to get a picture of her but i was crying to much i couldn't see. I was so glad to see the schools around here have come a long way. Just think of all the kids that could be included in these ceremonies by the t… Continue

Thanks for the info but I doubt we will be making it this year as we are having a baby in January! What is the date for this years conference?

Hi Cammie,

Sounds great! I would LOVE to hold a fundraiser in this area. OR - I would consider a company donation - but am open to both. My son attends Syble Hopp School and I am always helping them raise funds. So, most importantly, I would love to have the opportunity to educate people on PKS. I truly believe we were given these children for a reason - we are strong women/men who have the ability to juggle our lives and yet provide info to so many people. I will try to compile a budget for the 3 nights, 4 day event - and share it with you. Let me know what I am missing. Thanks!

Sure, you can share it. We're very excited and I think it'll be good for Jay to have a sibling around. We're sorry we can't make the conference because we look forward to going. We learn so much whenever we get together.

Hi Cammie, Thanks for the message. Sofia is doing well!! We are working on lots of things and she is really quite the cutie. I went back to a full time teaching job, so I have been adjusting. Last year it was working on my MA. Crazy I know. Sofia finally got hearing aids (yesterday), she is wearing a new Spio suit and they are getting her a kid walk at school!!! Yeah, I have been working very hard for the kidwalk and hearing aids. I will try to catch up later with a better post. I would like to know the dates for the conference/location and where I can direct fundraising donations (putting it in my Christmas letter). Plus now that I am back to work I would like to make a donation. Sofia just lost her first tooth and her mouth looks just like Kelsey's!

I would LOVE to be part of the next conference, and so would Austin. We just went through several weeks of Austin not doing well at all. It made me realize how much more I need to know about his diagnosis. Afterall, we are their advocates. I had doctors switching meds on him like he was just another 13 year old boy! Yikes!

Please let me know what options are available for the 2010 conference. I would give anything to get there...and would hope that Roxie Stahr could make it as well as her son is the same age as my Austin.

Keep me posted!

Thanks,

Amy

Cammie,
Thanks for the notice but I don't think we will be attending the conference this year. I'm going to be having a baby and the due date is July 2nd. That's a little too close for travel! We'll have to wait and see what is going on the following year!
